Now it is time to for a project.  The class will be broken into groups and you will be responsible for the following:

​

• Build a 4x8 Hollywood Flat after being shown how to create one and taking notes.The following are the steps you will run through:

  • Review how to build a flat from the notes you have taken.

  • ​Create a plan-at 1/2 inch scale.

  • Create a material list.

  • Create a cut list.

  • Measure the lumber.

  • Cut the lumber (measure twice cut once).

  • Dry fit the pieces.

  • Assemble using the correct tools.
