You will be given your digital text books for the class. This will be augmented by scripts, handouts and videos, etc. Please download the text book to your iPad or other digital device so that you can read it.
Text Books:
By the end of the week, Friday beginning of class, please read pgs 1-18 ALAB and 3-8 of ALWB. Since the reading of ALAB is a review, please focus on answering the following prompts from ALWB for a class presentation. The day will be assigned. Use the following prompts:

Please prepare a two part written response that will presented as an oral report and includes both parts .
First part:
Prompt: Theater classes are about to be cancelled in your school. Please use the reasons listed in your book as a stepping off point. Research and defend why you think it is important for those theater classes to continue. Please cite two sources.
Second part:
Prompt: Choose a reason listed above about why it is important to study theater that you identify with and explain why. Please share two examples of how you identify with it.
Note: Each written response should be a page.
Your presentation will be in the manner of an oral report. We will discuss the style that it can be presented in. Also, you will need to present three additional sources for your research of the first part. Please review the Oral Report Rubric to understand what you will be assessed on. Your report can be no longer then five minutes.
