TOPIC FIVE- The Rehearsal Process
Class Work:
You will take the information you have learned and now place into a rehearsal process. The class know become more of a project laboratory based class, that becomes structured for the individual. This process involves in depth memorization and rehearsal protocols that need to be understood so that you and your scene partner may accomplish your goal of presenting a good scene.
Project Work:
Continue to work the scene you were assigned. When presenting your scene it must meet the following criteria:

Appropriate Blocking

Memorized
-
Appropriate Costuming
-
Appropriate Usage of Props

Full scene with blocking notes

Assessment:
You will receive verbal, in the moment assessment from the instructor and peers. In addition to filling out a Peer/Self Assessment.
Reading Assignment:
By the end of the week, Friday beginning of class, please read pg. 21-23 of ALWB. Please focus on answering the following prompt from the ALWB for a class presentation:

Pick one genre of tragedy in theater. Research the style, explain it's historical or contemporary application and give an example of it.
Oral Report Assessment
Your presentation will be in the manner of an oral report. We will discuss the style that it can be presented in. Also, you will need to present three additional sources for your research. Please review the Oral Report Rubric to understand what you will be assessed on. Your report can be no longer then five minutes.
Home work - Written Project
Please take the scene/monologue that you created last week and adapt it so that it embodies a specific tragedy style. This project is due on Monday.
